Lightness of Being is built around the idea that life is never only heavy or only beautiful. Both exist at the same time, often within the very same moment.
Through different styles, textures, colors, and materials, the pieces explore emotion, memory, movement, connection, and the things we carry through life. Some works are chaotic and intense, others quieter and more minimal, but all of them are connected by the idea that even during difficult periods, beauty still exists around us and within us, if we allow ourselves to see it.
Many of the materials used in the works are reclaimed, reused, or given a second life, reflecting the same idea present throughout the exhibition: that things which feel broken, forgotten, or discarded can still hold value, meaning, and beauty.At its core, Lightness of Being is not about escaping darkness, but about realizing that life can come with lightness even in hard times if we choose to let it.
